KAMBWILI CONVICTED FOR IMMIGRATION OFFENCE

The Lusaka Magistrates' Court has convicted former Information Minister Chishimba Kambwili and fined him 25,000 Kwacha for failing to appear before immigration officers before leaving Zambia.

Kambwili was charged with leaving the country without presenting himself to an immigration officer at a point of entry or exit, an offence under Section 16(1) of the Immigration and Deportation Act No. 18 of 2010.

The court found him guilty after he recently changed his plea and admitted the charge: https://braveheartnews.online/post.php?slug=kambwili-guilty-sentencing-on-june-4

JUST TO UNLOCK YOUR MIND:

If he fails to pay the fine, Kambwili will serve seven months in prison. He has a choice either to go to jail or pay.
